In the demanding worlds of entrepreneurship and academia, stress and burnout are not just buzzwords, but significant threats to well-being and productivity. This masterclass, "How to Manage Stress and Burnout for Entrepreneurs and Academics," offers a vital lifeline. Tailored specifically for those navigating the intense pressures of launching businesses or pursuing rigorous intellectual endeavors, this session delves into the unique stressors faced by these groups – from financial uncertainty and long hours for entrepreneurs, to intense competition, grant pressures, and publication demands for academics.

Participants will learn to identify the early warning signs of chronic stress and burnout, often subtle but insidious. The masterclass will then equip attendees with evidence-based strategies for prevention and recovery. Topics covered will include effective time management and prioritization techniques, setting healthy boundaries in a 24/7 work culture, cultivating resilience through mindfulness and self-compassion, and building supportive networks. Practical exercises and interactive discussions will provide actionable tools, allowing participants to develop personalized stress management plans. By fostering a proactive approach to mental well-being, this masterclass aims to empower entrepreneurs and academics to sustain their passion, enhance their performance, and ultimately thrive in their challenging yet rewarding pursuits.

Nadine Nembach
Nadine Nembach, President of EWMD and psychologist for leadership. She started in 2018 at EWMD, when I attended the International Conference in Ingelheim. I was immediately impressed by a lot of things: the quality of the organization, speakers, workshops. However, what impressed her most were the women present. The multitude of occupations, interests, stories and nations. This has not changed ever since; it has intensified over my time being an EWMD member. As a network only lives and thrives with active members, She has joined in a lot of activities since becoming a member: Organization of the national conference Germany in Hamburg 2018 (concept + process team)CM responsible for Bavaria together with Katrin Neuendorf Big sister for new EWMD members Organisation of local events chapter Bavaria (events, speakers, rooms, invitations) E.g: Facilitation of the workshop "New Work Survival Kit - Resilienz mal ganz praktisch!" (Munich, 11.07.19) Development of Mentoring Programme EWMD Bavaria (in progress)It is an honour to work for EWMD international as International Co-President together with her colleague Tanju. They are working on an intensive international communication and collaboration amongst EWMD members and in connection with other associations and companies. As an international expert for leadership and customer delight, I travel the world for her customers. 34 countries and 68 nationalities so far. When working with people she feels it is most important to find the flow that will enable them to tap their potential and find out what they are able to do as individuals as well as organizations. Passion, energy and fun are prerequisites for this, and therefore some of the most important tools I use. Nadine's background is a diploma in psychology. Being a trainer, coach, facilitator and speaker, she has been easing her customers' path for more than 20 years on the way to (re-) discovering their golden thread.
