Mastering the follow-up is one of the most significant psychological hurdles for professionals. We often hesitate to reach out, fearing we are "bothering" people or appearing desperate. This masterclass deconstructs the anxiety of chasing and replaces it with a strategic, high-value approach to relationship management.

The session explores the subtle psychological distinctions between strategic persistence and fear-based hesitation. Participants will learn to identify the "mental scripts" that trigger social anxiety and how to reframe a follow-up not as a nuisance, but as a professional service that demonstrates reliability and commitment.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Reframing the Outreach: Shift from a "taking" mindset to a "giving" mindset by providing value in every touchpoint.

  • The Science of Cadence: Understand the optimal timing for maintaining momentum without crossing the line into intrusion.

  • Distinguishing Intent: Learn the tactical differences between following up to close a collaboration versus keeping a long-term conversation alive.

  • Emotional Resilience: Tools to manage the fear of rejection and the "silence" that often follows initial meetings.

By the end of this class, you will possess a personalized communication framework that preserves your dignity and builds authentic, reciprocal professional bonds.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Nadine Nembach, President of EWMD and psychologist for leadership. She started in 2018 at EWMD, when I attended the International Conference in Ingelheim. I was immediately impressed by a lot of things: the quality of the organization, speakers, workshops. However, what impressed her most were the women present. The multitude of occupations, interests, stories and nations. This has not changed ever since; it has intensified over my time being an EWMD member. As a network only lives and thrives with active members, She has joined in a lot of activities since becoming a member: Organization of the national conference Germany in Hamburg 2018 (concept + process team)CM responsible for Bavaria together with Katrin Neuendorf Big sister for new EWMD members Organisation of local events chapter Bavaria (events, speakers, rooms, invitations) E.g: Facilitation of the workshop "New Work Survival Kit - Resilienz mal ganz praktisch!" (Munich, 11.07.19) Development of Mentoring Programme EWMD Bavaria (in progress)It is an honour to work for EWMD international as International Co-President together with her colleague Tanju. They are working on an intensive international communication and collaboration amongst EWMD members and in connection with other associations and companies. As an international expert for leadership and customer delight, I travel the world for her customers. 34 countries and 68 nationalities so far. When working with people she feels it is most important to find the flow that will enable them to tap their potential and find out what they are able to do as individuals as well as organizations. Passion, energy and fun are prerequisites for this, and therefore some of the most important tools I use. Nadine's background is a diploma in psychology. Being a trainer, coach, facilitator and speaker, she has been easing her customers' path for more than 20 years on the way to (re-) discovering their golden thread.
