In this Masterclass, expert Nadine Nembach addresses the modern paradox of digital marketing: while visibility is essential for business growth, it often invites a toxic wave of cyberbullying and online violence. Nembach reframes digital harassment not as a personal failure, but as a structural risk that creators and entrepreneurs must proactively manage to protect their mental health and brand integrity.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Visibility Trap: Nembach explains why "putting yourself out there" as a marketing strategy frequently triggers aggressive behavior from anonymous users, and how to decouple your self-worth from comment sections.
  • Tactical Defense: The session outlines concrete strategies for setting digital boundaries, including the "Ignore, Block, Report" workflow and the legal thresholds for documenting online threats.
  • Resilient Marketing: Instead of retreating from the spotlight, participants learn how to build a "digital shield" by fostering supportive communities and utilizing platform tools to filter toxicity before it reaches the eye.

Ultimately, Nembach emphasizes that managing online violence is an essential business skill in 2026. By shifting from a reactive to a proactive stance, professionals can reclaim their digital presence, ensuring that their marketing efforts remain impactful without sacrificing their personal well-being.

About the teacher:

Nadine Nembach, President of EWMD and psychologist for leadership. She started in 2018 at EWMD, when I attended the International Conference in Ingelheim. I was immediately impressed by a lot of things: the quality of the organization, speakers, workshops. However, what impressed her most were the women present. The multitude of occupations, interests, stories and nations. This has not changed ever since; it has intensified over my time being an EWMD member. As a network only lives and thrives with active members, She has joined in a lot of activities since becoming a member: Organization of the national conference Germany in Hamburg 2018 (concept + process team)CM responsible for Bavaria together with Katrin Neuendorf Big sister for new EWMD members Organisation of local events chapter Bavaria (events, speakers, rooms, invitations) E.g: Facilitation of the workshop "New Work Survival Kit - Resilienz mal ganz praktisch!" (Munich, 11.07.19) Development of Mentoring Programme EWMD Bavaria (in progress)It is an honour to work for EWMD international as International Co-President together with her colleague Tanju. They are working on an intensive international communication and collaboration amongst EWMD members and in connection with other associations and companies. As an international expert for leadership and customer delight, I travel the world for her customers. 34 countries and 68 nationalities so far. When working with people she feels it is most important to find the flow that will enable them to tap their potential and find out what they are able to do as individuals as well as organizations. Passion, energy and fun are prerequisites for this, and therefore some of the most important tools I use. Nadine's background is a diploma in psychology. Being a trainer, coach, facilitator and speaker, she has been easing her customers' path for more than 20 years on the way to (re-) discovering their golden thread.
